I just installed FF3, and boy it’s slow. (I used to use FF2)
Someone told me to go to about:config and set network.dns.disableIPv6 to true. I did that, and it seems a bit faster. Hmm.
What a crummy upgrade.
P.S. If you want to revert to FF2, click here.

Yeah, I haven’t loved FF3 as much as I hoped I would… It’s definitely slower.
by Portia Da Costa August 27th, 2008 at 8:33 pmI hadn’t noticed FF3 being slower. Then again, I wasn’t online as much yesterday except to check weather radar. I’ll keep your post in mind in case I notice it has the creeps today. Thanks for the heads up!
by Lynn Daniels August 27th, 2008 at 8:46 pmSo I guess all of you got the auto-upgrade to FF3? Because I didn’t go out and upgrade FF2 myself.
I spent about an hour going over the solutions. At first I thought I had some spyware or virus leeching all my CPU. It turned out that FF was using about 75-90% of CPU. I couldn’t even use Word, but then my laptop’s very old…about 5 years old now.
by Nadia Lee August 27th, 2008 at 8:51 pmI loaded ff 3 but I still don’t know how to use foxtwitter.
by kate r August 27th, 2008 at 10:26 pmThat I can’t help you with. I don’t use FoxTwitter.
