Why Am I Cursed?

I got a new MacBook. Installed XP on it. Worked fine.

Now it won't work fine anymore. It's been exactly one week.

I've run like seven different diagnostics on it. I'd be so mad if all my important files get lost — all my project files, etc. Well, not ALL, but many of them will be lost.

Am valiantly trying to boot. Because Win XP won't boot normally, and it says my SLAYER file is corrupted! Argh!

Oh my God, I’m sorry to hear this. Do you have Slayer backed up elsewhere?

Hope you can get everything sorted out and be back to full productivity soon.

    Hugs!

Aren’t you glad that you sent me very recent versions of Slayer?

Wait, you installed everything into the MacBook and then deleted the stuff on your previous laptop right away? Can’t you get them from the previous one?

Dang. That’s a bummer. :( I’m sorry to hear that that. There’s nothing worse than losing something that you’ve worked hard on. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you can recover some of your work.

Portia — Thank you. The latest SLAYER backup is corrupted, and I’m going through other backup files to see if anything’s salvageable.

May — The previous laptop doesn’t have the latest files, which has the latest 3 chapter updates and so on. I’ve been rather productive. Also I lost my OneNote data which has latest info / notes for SLAYER & its sequel.

Also I lost a bunch of Outlook data, which @#$% me off.

    Kaycee,

It appears “fixed” now. Thank you. :)
