It took forever to get those pages down. I think I did my opening wrong.

How's everyone else doing?

I’m not doing nearly as well as you are. The first day, I switched what I was writing, so I lost most of that day. But I’m having more fun now, and I’m about to cross the 2K mark. You’re smokin’ it, though!

Starting Nanowrimo yesterday and got down 5k. :P I’m behind, but it’s no big deal.

By the way, I added you to my new blog.

9708, total, in three days. Didn’t start writing today (4th November) yet.

Lynn — Good for you. It’s so important to have fun. I think it shows in your writing when it’s getting boring for you.

Fionn — w00t! Dang, you’re smokin’! I saw that you sold your UF. Which one is it and who offered?

Nils — wow! I’m totally envious of your output.

    Jennifer — Thanks! :)

Well, what can I say. I found it surprisingly easy to meet the NaNoWriMo quota once I managed to remove the inner critic from the process. (“Editing comes in December” is my new mantra.)

I’m slowing down, though – today I was just ~20 words over quota. I gotta aim for 20k.

    That’s just astounding.

Five days later, I couldn’t silence my inner editor and I just gave up on NaNo. I’ll blog more about my decision later today or tomorrow.

Try to delay the inner critic instead of ignoring him. “Yes, I will edit this. In December.”

Works for me. I know what I write isn’t “good”, and not even as good as I could do. But my problem has always been, first and foremost, to get something actually done.

And so that is my goal, not quality. Quality can be added later… I hope. :)
