Nice work! I had Wordsugar Designs do my freebie covers. She is redoing the ones of mine that were given in mass to the Samhellion freebies. I love that the entire series will match soon!

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Re: Hiring your own artist -- TBH, I have no idea if it is allowed. I know publishers have a lot of influence over the cover, and for print pubs, big buyers can change the cover too (meaning buyers from B&N, Borders, etc.). I got to do whatever I wanted w/ this cover because I was giving it away for free myself, but if I had to go through epublishers, etc. I wouldn't have much say in what my cover should look like.

The only people who get to approve their covers are writers like Nora Roberts, JKR, SKing, etc.

Hi Nadia :)
Thanks for the great post.
I think cover art is very important to the sales of a novel.
I wonder if an author can hire an artist for print publishing? Or recommend an artist to a publishing house? I'm unsure of the rules regarding covers for print publishers, especially since the LIAR cover controversy.
:)
Thanks for sharing,
Love & Best Wishes,
RKCharron
