Seven Things I'm Grateful For in 2012

Instead of my usual how I'm doing with my writing and life, I decided to post about what I'm grateful for this year.

My awesome family for being supportive and fabulous, despite a lot of ups and downs this year.
My great writing buddies, esp. M&M Writers -- Amanda Bonilla, Amanda Carlson, Shawntelle Madison and Sandy Williams.
Book bloggers and reviewers and Twitter and Facebook buddies for great book recommendations, wonderful conversations and support.
My agent for being awesome and patient.
My readers who are just plain awesome (and have excellent taste! )
Romance Divas and the Indie Romance Ink gang for invaluable information and keeping me sane.
Finishing house hunting, which was extremely stressful and took a reeeeally long time!

I'm hoping for a healthier and more productive 2013. (I was sick 9 out of 12 months in 2012.) And I can't wait to move in 2013!

Gavin & Amandine - 6,267 new words written. I want to write a bit more, but my brain's fried. Total word count count: 14,037.

Started drafting Gavin & Amandine today. Wrote 5,150 words. Not the most elegant ones, but enough to get the story down.

Gavin & Amandine outline is about 90% done (plot-wise). I need to fill out setting & character sections (mostly notes about the setting for each scene and character outfit, etc.), incorporate some research notes, then I'm done!

Printed out the scene-by-scene outline for Carnal Secrets Sequel #2, featuring Ethan's younger brother Gavin. So far so good, though it has some holes. I initially named the heroine Chloe, but changed to Amandine because of this.

The sequel to Carnal Secrets is w/ a beta. I'm now working on the next book featuring Ethan's brother Gavin. Trope: marriage in trouble. The heroine is very different from my usual type, so it's going to be pretty challenging, but very fun.
